Three Cheers for the End of Summer

Hello everyone!
This past week Matt's softball games ended. Their team played in the Championships, and took 2nd. Hooray! We had a lot of fun watching Matt's games, but I have to admit I'm a little glad we get a break for now. haha. He will be playing on a fall league though, so we'll get to watch some more soon. I did get a photo of his team after their last game, but it was so dark it didn't come out very well and I couldn't get the red eye out. Sorry! But there's a photo for memories' sake.
Last night we went to a Bees game in Salt Lake with my family. My Moms work gave all their employees tickets as their company get together for the summer, and we had a ton of fun. Our seats were in the sun (until it went down of course), so that part was a litte uncomfortable since we had all dressed for how cool it would be after the game. But once the sun went down, we were happy campers. UNTIL!.... a foul ball in the 9th inning plopped down and smacked my Mom. It hit her arm, then bounced off and a little boy stood up because he was so thrilled he caught it. The photo isn't very good. Since it was so dark my flash worked a little too hard, so you can't see how dark her bruise is. But you get the idea. I wonder what it looks like this morning... Poor Mom.
Ouch!

Tomorrow we will be going out with our Realtor after work to look at a few condos down here. We are both so excited! Plus after our mail has been disappearing from our front porch, I get the feeling our next door neighbors will be happy to have us gone, too.
Also, here are the photos from our fun day at Bear Lake.

Where Did The Summer Go?? Can Anyone Tell Me?

Hello Everyone,
It has been a busy few weeks, but busy (usually) means productive, so things have been going pretty well for us. We were able to get Matt accepted into school, so now that's all squared away and we're just waiting for the VA to get back with us and let us know we're good to go with the GI Bill. We're getting down to the wire now, and we are both really hoping Matt is able to start school this semester. Since school starts in 12 days, (that's right! TWELVE!) I am not holding my breath, but it sure would be nice...
We were also able to get the ball rolling on getting into a house. We have been pre-approved and are now working on getting into the condo of our dreams. haha. And not a moment too soon. The situation at our apartment complex with the next door neighbors has turned hostile. haha... but that's another story completely. If anyone wants to hear that one, email me. It's a bit long. :)
Tuesday Matt and I were able to head up to Bear Lake with my fam for the day. We are both totally fried, but it was worth it to have a day away. We had a great time. I have a few pictures from our trip, and I'll post them as soon as I get home today, but in the mean time I have a cute photo of popsicle boy -I mean little Ethan at Matt's softball game last night. I don't know if you can tell that his teeth are purple. haha. He cracks me up. He loves himself a popsicle! Just like his Uncle Matt. Anywho, Matt's team is now in the playoffs, so he is excited for that because that means they'll have a few more games. Good Luck, Matt!
