Hooray for summer being over! .... Almost...

Okay, so it's been a while since I've blogged, I know that. I could sit here and make excuses about this, that, and the other reason as to why I haven't sat down and updated all you fine folks, but the truth is I've just been having too much fun to take a break and ramble on about it. But I thought since the fine month of August is now over, and I haven't blogged in over 6 weeks, it was about time to take a minute to let you all know we're still alive.

Things are as crazy as ever around here. Several weeks ago we were lucky enough to welcome 3 new babies into the fam. That's right, 3. And they were all born within 5 days of each other. It was a fun, crazy experience for us. Here are a few pictures of one of the new babies, Kendyl Jade, who is my cousin Jamie's new baby. She is such a doll. Congrats again to all the new mommies and daddies in our fam!

As for Matt and I, we have been up to some fun shenanagins the last few weeks, such as yard sale-ing, a Harry Potter marathon, going to the farmers market and finding the most amazing bread, completed two different leagues of Softball with their accompanying championships, and have seen some great (and not so great) movies. Matt just finished up with school for the summer, and will be starting the fall semester when the second block of classes begins (October). He has a great head start on school so far, and we are excited for him to be able to keep moving forward in school and toward his degree. Here is Matt with our new friends. Gru and da minions! I hope everyone has seen this.... We had to see it twice we loved it so much. And I cried like a girl both times! Pathetic, I know! But it was such a good one...
Here is the hubbs doing what he does best... kickin trash and taking names, and cuddling with Miss Daisy shortly thereafter. Such a stud.
Here is a picture of Matt and I at Fanfest for the Jazz last week. We're not so much fans of the Jazz... but it was still fun to get down to SLC and do something fun!
Something else that happened in the past few weeks, was we celebrated my birthday. I am now officially the big 2-2. Thanks to everyone for all your well wishes, calls, cards, texts, and sweet gifts. I am so spoiled to have such great friends and fam. As for Matt and I, we had a big weekend planned, and then ultimately decided we'd prefer a quiet weekend at home instead, since this last month has been so chaotic. Matt surprised me with a Wii, and I am so excited about that. We have literally spent hours so far battling it out as Mario and Luigi, and we've had some pretty good baseball tournaments as well. I am looking forward to many more tournaments in the future. Thanks again, hubbs! I love it, and you sure surprised me this year!!
We hope you are all doing great, and that you've enjoyed your summer as much as we have!
